2nd suspect arrested in Frisco cold case murder

Frisco police arrested 57-year-old Keith Hart of Waxahachie on May 8, 2026, as the second suspect in the 2002 murder of Plano resident Frank Weiss. Weiss’s body was found near Lake Lewisville in Frisco, and Hart was charged under a murder warrant issued by authorities. The arrest marks progress in the 24-year-old cold case, following the April detention of 55-year-old Lisa Honrud, Weiss’s wife at the time of his death. Police credited modern investigative methods, witness cooperation, and a key witness’s testimony for linking both suspects to the crime. Frisco Police Chief David Shilson stated the second arrest brings the case closer to resolution, expressing gratitude for the community’s support. ‘We are grateful for the continued support and will keep working until every responsible party is brought to justice,’ Shilson said.
