Corrections — NoFOMO
NoFOMO is committed to accuracy. When errors occur in our content, we correct them transparently and promptly.
How to Report a Correction
If you identify factual errors, misattributions, or other inaccuracies in NoFOMO content, please contact us:
Email: info@synthix-ai.com
When reporting an error, please include:
- The article URL
- The specific error or inaccuracy
- The correct information, if known
- A source for verification, if possible
Types of Errors We Correct
Factual Errors
Incorrect names, dates, numbers, locations, or other verifiable facts. These include AI synthesis errors such as substituted names or misattributed quotes.
Source Attribution Errors
Articles where source links are incorrect, missing, or lead to content that does not support the article’s claims.
Misleading Headlines
Headlines that misrepresent the content of the article.
Translation Errors
Inaccuracies introduced during automatic translation between supported languages.
Our Correction Process
1. Review
We review each reported error within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 48 hours of receiving the report.
2. Verification
We compare the reported error against the source material and our editorial standards.
3. Correction
If the error is confirmed, we take one of the following actions:
- Minor errors (typos, formatting): Corrected silently in the article
- Factual errors: Corrected with a correction note added to the article
- Significant errors: The article is updated, a correction note is added, and the affected content is clearly marked
- Fundamental errors: If an article cannot be corrected while preserving its integrity, it is removed and a notice is posted explaining the removal
4. Prevention
Systematic errors identified through corrections are used to improve our editorial pipeline. This includes updating AI synthesis prompts, refining source validation, and enhancing quality checks.
AI-Specific Corrections
Because NoFOMO uses AI for content synthesis, we face specific types of errors:
Hallucinations
Cases where the AI generates information not present in source material. When identified, we correct the article and refine our prompts to prevent similar errors.
Outdated Information
Cases where AI training data leads to outdated information being inserted into current articles. Our source-anchoring prompts aim to prevent this, but errors may occur.
Translation Drift
Cases where automatic translations diverge from the source article’s meaning. We correct affected translations and flag systematic issues.
Transparency Commitment
We commit to:
- Public corrections: Significant corrections include a visible note on the corrected article
- No silent removal: Articles removed due to errors are replaced with a brief notice explaining the removal
- Honest acknowledgment: We acknowledge that AI-generated content is imperfect and commit to correcting errors openly
Response Time
We aim to respond to correction requests within 48 hours. Complex corrections may require additional time for research and verification.
Limitations
NoFOMO has a small editorial team. We prioritize corrections based on:
- Severity of the error
- Impact on reader understanding
- Systemic versus isolated nature of the issue
We strive to address all valid correction requests but cannot guarantee resolution of every reported issue.
