Anna Maria students navigate uncertain path to find their next college

Anna Maria College will close at the end of the spring semester due to financial hardship, as announced on April 24. The news shocked students, including junior Andrew Denison, who is now searching for a new college with a baseball program. Denison has reached out to other schools on Twitter and has heard from Misericordia University and other schools in New Jersey and Ohio. The college has partnered with other institutions to provide transition programs, guaranteeing admission and comparable financial assistance to students looking to transfer. However, some students, like first-year student Jayden Wehbe, are finding the process difficult, citing delays in getting official transcripts and uncertainty about financial aid beyond the first year. Students in the nursing program face additional challenges in transferring to another college.
