Anthropic’s Project Glasswing goes global: India among countries to get Mythos AI access

Anthropic is globally expanding access to its AI-powered cybersecurity model, Mythos, through Project Glasswing. The initiative will now include over 150 organizations across 15 countries, extending beyond its initial U.S. and U.K. focus. New participants include India, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, and other key nations, alongside critical sectors like finance, healthcare, and energy. The rollout follows collaboration with the U.S. government, including reviews under the Trump administration, and addresses growing demand from banks, regulators, and governments worldwide. Mythos will now support industries previously underrepresented, such as power, water, and communications, where breaches could affect over 100 million people, posing risks to global and national security. Prominent companies receiving access include Okta, Samsung, SK Hynix, and SK Telecom, alongside public-sector organizations like NATO and the European Union’s cybersecurity agency, ENISA. The expansion aims to strengthen defenses amid rising cyber threats, with Anthropic emphasizing the catastrophic potential of attacks on widely used software systems. Anthropic’s blog post highlights that participating organizations manage critical infrastructure, with successful breaches having severe global repercussions. The company has worked closely with security industry partners, open-source maintainers, and governments to refine the model’s capabilities before broader deployment.
