Apple introduced a suite of AI-driven accessibility features across its devices, leveraging Apple Intelligence to improve usability for users with disabilities. VoiceOver and Magnifier will now provide more detailed descriptions of images, documents, and objects, enabling blind users to query content via their iPhone camera. Voice Control will also evolve, allowing natural language commands like 'tap the purple folder' or 'open the guide about restaurants' for smoother app navigation. For uncaptioned videos, Apple is rolling out generated subtitles on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Vision Pro, ensuring accessibility for personal and social media content. The processing occurs on-device to preserve user privacy. The Vision Pro headset will additionally support eye-controlled wheelchair navigation for select systems in the US, marking a significant advancement for mobility-impaired users. Accessibility Reader will now summarize articles, translate text, and retain custom fonts and colors for easier reading. Apple also expanded global availability of the Hikawa Grip & Stand, a MagSafe accessory designed to help users with limited grip strength hold their iPhone more comfortably.
