Asus unveils 24.5-inch 540Hz Tandem OLED esports monitor with 0.02ms response time

Asus has launched the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace, a 24.5-inch 1080p OLED gaming monitor targeting professional esports players. Unlike existing high-refresh-rate OLED displays, which are typically 27-inch or 32-inch models, this monitor uses a native 24.5-inch panel to match the preferred size for competitive gaming in titles like *Counter-Strike 2* and *Valorant*, eliminating the need for software cropping. The display employs a Tandem WOLED panel with a dual-layer architecture, delivering 15% higher peak brightness, a 25% larger color volume, and a 60% longer lifespan compared to standard WOLED screens. It also includes a TrueBlack glossy coating to enhance text clarity and sharpness over traditional matte finishes. The monitor achieves a 540Hz refresh rate paired with a 0.02ms response time, alongside full Nvidia G-Sync compatibility to reduce screen tearing and input lag.
