Catholic school board appoints new superintendent of education

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board has named Jennifer Varnam as its new superintendent of education. Currently serving as principal at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Secondary School in Mississauga, Varnam has over two decades of experience in Catholic education, including more than ten years in leadership roles as a school administrator. She succeeds Phil Wilson, who was recently appointed principal at St. Michael’s College School in Toronto. Varnam’s appointment follows a board announcement highlighting her commitment to student achievement, well-being, and faith formation.
