CBSE 12th Result 2026 Live Updates: How to use UMANG app to check and download CBSE results?

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to announce the Class 12 board examination results for 2026 in the second week of May, though no official date has been confirmed. Students will be able to access their digital marksheets through multiple platforms, including the official CBSE portals (cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in), DigiLocker, and the UMANG app. The board will also provide digitally verified academic documents such as migration and skill certificates through its digital repository. A recent update on DigiLocker showing a ‘Class 12 Result Coming Soon’ banner has heightened speculation about the release date. CBSE advises students to monitor only official sources for verified updates, as unofficial claims may be inaccurate. In a separate development, CBSE has made CCTV cameras with audio and video recording mandatory in all affiliated schools. The cameras must cover entry/exit points, classrooms, laboratories, and common areas, with footage stored for at least 15 days. Schools must also maintain backups for regulatory compliance. The board has also reaffirmed the 75% attendance requirement for students appearing in Class 10 and 12 exams in the 2025-26 academic session. Leave must be supported by written applications and official documents, with valid grounds for condonation including illness, family emergencies, or recognized sports participation. Additionally, CBSE launched a Career Guidance Dashboard in August 2025 to help students explore career options, accessible at cbsecareerguidance.in. The board has also issued warnings against unauthorized platforms offering duplicate mark sheets or certificate corrections, clarifying that such services are not affiliated with CBSE.
