CBSE denies portal glitch claims, says students filed 3.8 lakh answer sheet requests

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) dismissed claims of technical issues in its post-result services portal, which operated smoothly from June 2 to June 7. Over 1.6 lakh candidates submitted requests for more than 3.8 lakh answer books during the designated application window, with oversight from government technical agencies and teams from Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The portal was under constant surveillance by cybersecurity teams to prevent malicious interference, while CBSE provided support through helpdesks and grievance redressal channels. The board explained that the 'Roll Number Not Found' message only appeared for students who had not applied for scanned answer book copies during the initial phase, making them ineligible for further verification or re-evaluation. CBSE emphasized that only candidates who successfully applied for photocopies of their answer books during the first phase could proceed to subsequent stages. The board reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and student support, addressing concerns through helplines and other communication channels. The application window was fully operational under strict monitoring, ensuring a seamless process despite earlier reports of access issues. CBSE stated that no systemic glitches occurred, attributing the 'Roll Number Not Found' errors to procedural eligibility criteria rather than technical failures.
