Contribute to national development, Adeleke urges NANS leadership

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, South-West Zone D, to contribute meaningfully to national development. The governor gave the charge during the inauguration of the new executives of the student body held at the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa. Adeleke, represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr Abiodun Ojo, stressed the importance of gender balance in governance within NANS and warned the newly inaugurated executives against compromising their future for financial inducements. The governor reaffirmed the state government's support for NANS, describing the administration as student-friendly. The Chairman of the Governing Council of Osun State College of Health Technology, Mr Abayomi Adegoke, implored the student leaders to rise to the responsibilities of their offices without excuses, emphasizing that student unionism serves as a training ground for future national leaders.
