Honda launches 2026 City facelift in India with updated styling and new features

Honda Cars India introduced the 2026 Honda City facelift in India, priced at Rs 11.99 lakh, alongside the debut of the global ZR-V e:HEV SUV. The facelift marks Honda’s push toward premium positioning, hybrid technology, and sporty design in India, a key market for the company. The updated City features refreshed styling with a longer wheelbase (4,594mm), sleeker Bi-LED projector headlamps, a connected LED grille bar, and 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Rear updates include Z-edge LED tail lamps, a redesigned bumper, and a sporty trunk spoiler, with a new Crystal Black Pearl paint option. Inside, the facelifted City retains its dual-tone interior but adds a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and USB Type-C ports. Safety upgrades include a 360-degree camera, Honda Sensing ADAS features like Collision Mitigation Braking and Lane Keep Assist, and an electric sunroof. Mechanically, the City retains its 1.5-litre petrol engine (121bhp) with manual or CVT options, alongside the strong-hybrid e:HEV variant (126bhp, 27.26kmpl). Honda offers an 8-year/1.6 lakh km warranty on the hybrid battery pack. The launch signals a new growth phase for Honda in India, with Takashi Nakajima, President and CEO of Honda Cars India, emphasizing the company’s focus on hybrid technology and premium positioning. The ZR-V e:HEV SUV, featuring Honda’s advanced hybrid powertrain, will serve as the brand’s new flagship SUV in the market.
