IIT Bombay Releases UCEED and CEED 2027 Exam Date, Exams on January 17

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has officially announced the exam date for UCEED 2027 and CEED 2027, both scheduled for January 17, 2027. The exams will take place in a single shift at designated centers nationwide, marking a key milestone for students aspiring to design programs at IITs and other participating institutions. UCEED 2027, or the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design, is for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programs at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IITDM Jabalpur. The exam will last three hours, with a total of 300 marks divided into Part A (200 marks) and Part B (100 marks). Registration details and application deadlines will be released by October 2026. CEED 2027, or the Common Entrance Examination for Design, is for Master of Design (MDes) and related postgraduate programs. It will also be held on January 17, 2027, for three hours, with Part A carrying 250 marks. Only candidates qualifying Part A will have their Part B answer sheets evaluated. The exam assesses design aptitude, creativity, visualization, and problem-solving skills.
