KFSH Presents Applied Radiology AI Model at HLTH Europe 2026

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH) presented its applied radiology AI model at HLTH Europe 2026, held in Amsterdam from June 15 to 18. The hospital emphasized how AI, when built around real patient needs and embedded into clinical workflows, delivers measurable impact in radiology. As part of the HLTH.rad program, KFSH participated in a workshop titled *Building an Applied AI Ecosystem in Radiology: From Clinical Need to Measurable Impact*. The session highlighted KFSH’s end-to-end AI approach, integrating clinical priorities, process redesign, technology, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance radiology outcomes. KFSH’s AI tools in radiology have improved diagnostic accuracy by 25% and reduced misdiagnosis rates by 18%, particularly in detecting and treating diseases like cancer and cardiovascular disorders. These results underscore AI’s potential to elevate care quality when used as a clinician support system rather than an isolated tool. Beyond radiology, KFSH’s Centre for Healthcare Intelligence has developed locally powered AI applications for medical image analysis, patient-flow management, resource optimization, and patient-experience enhancement. This ecosystem ensures faster diagnoses, more efficient workflows, and better integration between imaging, clinical decisions, and patient care. The presentation reinforced that radiology AI is not just a diagnostic tool but a driver of provider transformation, workforce support, and health-system value. KFSH’s achievements align with its global recognition, including being ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa and 12th globally among top academic medical centers for 2026.
