Little Marlow School recommended to close

Little Marlow CE School is set to close by August 31, 2026, following a recommendation by Buckinghamshire Council. The decision is due to falling pupil numbers, financial pressures, and concerns about maintaining standards. The school currently has five pupils, all in Year 2, and is expected to have no pupils by September 2026. The Federated Governing Board of Holy Trinity and Little Marlow CE Schools proposed the closure, supported by the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education and Buckinghamshire Council. A consultation and representation period were held, with one response received opposing the proposal. Existing staff will be made redundant or offered a move to Holy Trinity. The school site is owned by trustees, and its future use has not been decided.
