Lufthansa turns layovers into city breaks with new Munich stopover programme

Lufthansa has introduced a new stopover programme at its Munich hub, allowing passengers to turn layovers into city breaks. The programme is available on selected routes from Singapore and the United States, enabling travellers to extend their stop in Munich for 24 hours to seven days. Passengers can bundle hotel accommodation, rental cars, and leisure activities with their flights through Lufthansa's integrated partners. The stopover option is embedded directly into the airline's booking process and is available across all travel classes. Lufthansa plans to expand the concept to additional routes and hubs across its network over the coming year. The move aims to enhance the travel experience and promote Munich as a destination.
