Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra with Nvidia Blackwell RTX GPU unveiled

Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Ultra, its most powerful laptop yet, designed in collaboration with Nvidia. The device targets developers, AI builders, and creators, featuring a 15-inch mini-LED PixelSense Ultra display with HDR brightness of up to 2,000 nits and 262 PPI pixel density. It is powered by Nvidia’s RTX Spark chipset, delivering up to 1 petaflop of AI compute and 128GB of unified memory for seamless multi-workload performance. The laptop integrates an Nvidia Blackwell RTX GPU with full CUDA support, enabling local execution of large AI models, including those with up to 120 billion parameters. Microsoft’s 'inside-out' engineering approach ensures optimized thermal, acoustic, and structural design to manage heat and maintain quiet operation. The device is available in Platinum and Nightfall finishes, with Microsoft’s largest haptic touchpad included. Unlike previous Surface models, the Laptop Ultra features a full set of professional ports: HDMI, USB-C, USB-A, an SD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This eliminates the need for external adapters, enhancing compatibility with professional workflows.
