Mint Inc Ltd: Mint and Rice Robotics Launch Joint Venture to Expand AI Companion Robot Business with HK$15M in funding

Mint Incorporation Limited (NASDAQ: MIMI), a Hong Kong-based AI and robotics company, and Rice Robotics Holdings Limited have formed a joint venture named Rice Robotics AGI. Registered in the British Virgin Islands, the new entity will focus on developing and commercializing AI companion robots for consumer use. Mint’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Aspiration X, will invest HK$15 million in the venture, alongside providing human resources and research and development support. In return, Rice Robotics will contribute its existing technology, intellectual property, client base, and marketing expertise. The collaboration builds on the successful co-development of the FLOKI Minibot M1, a commercial robot, and aims to extend its capabilities into the consumer market. Rice Robotics AGI will prioritize integrating emotional AI and autonomous navigation to create interactive, family-friendly robots. Damian Chan, Chairman and CEO of Mint, stated that this joint venture accelerates Mint’s strategy to expand into consumer robotics, addressing growing demand for intelligent companionship. Victor Lee, Founder of Rice Robotics, emphasized the venture’s goal of making companion robots accessible to families. The first batch of consumer-ready AI robots is set for launch in Asian markets during Q3 2026, marking the joint venture’s debut product line. The partnership combines Mint’s strategic resources with Rice Robotics’ technical foundation to lower adoption barriers and enhance emotional AI experiences in everyday settings.
