My Google Pixel was draining battery left and right, and then I changed these settings

A Google Pixel user found that their phone's battery was draining quickly. They made a few changes to improve battery life, including switching to the LTE network, which reduced heat generation and battery drain. They also disabled Always On Display, which was accounting for about 1% of battery drain per hour. Instead, they used the Lift to check phone and Tap to check phone gestures, which wake up the screen instantly when needed. Another feature they turned off was Now Playing, which kept their microphones always on and the processor constantly listening. They now use the Google Song search tile in the Quick Settings panel to identify songs manually. Automating dark mode also helped, as it turns off individual pixels to show black, saving energy.
