NODWIN Gaming and Nodding Heads Games have announced the India Games Showcase (IGS), a digital event set to premiere on June 8, 2026, at 10 AM PT (10:30 PM IST). The showcase will feature 40 curated Indian indie game titles through trailers, gameplay demos, and announcements, streamed on YouTube and Twitch. It operates as an official partner event of Summer Game Fest, founded by Geoff Keighley, and includes a dedicated Steam event to boost global visibility for participating games. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap for Indian game developers struggling to enter international markets, despite a decade of growth in original content across genres. Nodding Heads Games, creators of *Raji: An Ancient Epic*—a title nominated at The Game Awards—leads the effort, emphasizing the fusion of world-class mechanics and culturally rich storytelling in Indian indie games. Key titles at the showcase include *Raahi* (an auto-rickshaw driving game set in 1990s Goa), *Dodo Duckie* (a 2D/3D puzzle adventure), *Loop: Beginning of Never Ending Journey* (a 2.5D surreal adventure), *Rakshasa* (mythology-inspired combat), and *Silkgrove* (a handcrafted village exploration game). Akshat Rathee, Co-founder of NODWIN Gaming, stated the goal is to ensure Indian games gain global recognition, while Avichal Singh of Nodding Heads Games called the showcase a milestone for Indian developers on the international stage. The event has garnered support from Indian game developers volunteering expertise to strengthen the country’s indie ecosystem.
