NYC Puerto Rican Day Parade 2026: Route, time, Daddy Yankee and what to know

The 69th annual Puerto Rican Day Parade in Manhattan will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, along Fifth Avenue from 44th to 79th Street, marking the largest celebration of Puerto Rican culture in the United States. Pre-parade activities begin at 11 a.m., with the event highlighting Puerto Rican achievements in music, sports, science, and more under the theme 'Somos Mas Que 100 x 35,' inspired by Bad Bunny’s Grammy-winning speech. The parade is free to attend and will feature thousands of participants and spectators. Legendary reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee will serve as Grand Marshal, while actor Anthony Ramos and Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres will be crowned king and queen. Honorees include Kentucky Derby winner Jose Ortiz, musician Charlie Sepulveda, and Congresswoman Nydia Velasquez. The parade traces its roots to 1958, evolving from small municipal festivals into a massive cultural celebration. Ahead of the parade, Nike will host a 'Bori Weekend' pop-up on June 13 at La Marquesina in Harlem, showcasing Puerto Rico-themed sneakers and featuring DJ sets and Nuyorican cuisine. The event runs from noon to 8 p.m. and celebrates Nike’s long-standing connection to Puerto Rican culture. Following the parade, Watermark Beach NYC will host an after-party festival beginning at 5 p.m., with admission priced at $35 for attendees aged 21 and older. The event promises live music and dancing, extending the celebration into the night. The parade committee emphasizes the event’s role in affirming Puerto Rican pride beyond geographical boundaries.
