Sachin Shridharani, a Manhattan-based plastic surgeon, shared a case where a woman in her 70s asked for a 'surgical time machine' to resemble her 40-year-younger granddaughter, despite explanations that such transformations were impossible. Doctors say these demands make consultations more challenging, as patients often insist on unrealistic results. Some experts suggest AI could also help by providing realistic pre-surgery simulations to manage expectations, though current trends indicate the technology is fueling unrealistic desires.
