OMRON Robotics to Demonstrate Next-Generation Autonomous Mobile Robots at Automate 2026

OMRON Robotics will unveil its latest autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), the LD-150 and LD-300, at Automate 2026, taking place June 22-25 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The LD-150 supports up to 150 kg in a 500 mm footprint, while the LD-300 handles 300 kg in 580 mm, both designed for high-throughput material transport in tight spaces. Both models feature wireless inductive charging in 30 minutes or less and 360-degree safety scanner coverage, meeting ISO 3691-4:2023 standards. They also navigate facility transitions, including 5-degree grade ramps, without infrastructure changes. The robots are part of OMRON’s LD Series platform, offering dynamic adaptability to changing layouts, workflows, and labor constraints. They integrate with OMRON FLOW Core software for mixed-fleet management, simplifying deployment alongside existing automation systems. Justin King, vice president of product management at OMRON Robotics, highlighted their role in addressing manufacturers’ needs for faster material movement and scalability. At Automate 2026, booth #3080 will demonstrate the AMRs in material transport applications, alongside partner solutions from ROEQ and NORD Modules. Visitors will also see OMRON’s Sysmac platform, which unifies robotics, vision, safety, and production data. Additional displays will feature the VHV5 Vision System for quality control and the DX100 for AI-supported operational optimization. The LD-150 and LD-300 are expected to begin shipping in Q4 2026, offering speeds up to 2.1 m/s and enhanced uptime for demanding production environments.
