A leak of internal documents has exposed 'Dialog,' the secretive members-only group led by billionaire investor Peter Thiel, revealing personal details of hundreds of attendees, including tech executives, politicians, and financiers. The records, obtained by Wired, included political affiliations, AI predictions, and even matchmaking preferences, as Dialog also functions as an elite networking platform for 'exceptional people.' Among the leaked materials was the registration list for Dialog’s 2026 retreat, scheduled for August 12–16 near Dublin, Ireland, which named 222 attendees. The list included high-profile figures like Google and DeepMind executives, hedge fund billionaires, Senator Ted Cruz, Representative Jim Himes, and Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale. The retreat’s agenda featured unconventional topics such as 'How’s Your Sex Life?' and 'Build-a-Cult,' alongside geopolitical discussions like 'Navigating WWIII.' Attendees were reportedly asked to share predictions about the future, with many focusing on artificial intelligence. Some foresaw widespread job losses from automation, while others predicted an 'AI winter' or even domestic terrorism targeting data centers. A few members suggested AI-driven disruption could spark a religious revival. The leak also highlighted Thiel’s personal stance on existential risks, mirroring his public warnings about AI and nuclear conflict. Reports indicate Thiel recently relocated his family to Buenos Aires, Argentina, citing concerns over taxes, political instability, and potential societal collapse from AI or nuclear war. Thiel has previously explored citizenship options in multiple countries, including New Zealand.
