Pokemon TCG Pitch Black set reportedly coming in 2026: Mega Darkrai ex, Abyss Eye link, and new Dark-type cards

The Pokémon Trading Card Game is preparing to release a new set called Pitch Black in mid-2026. The set is expected to be an adapted version of Japan's Abyss Eye set, which is scheduled for release in May 2026. Pitch Black will feature Mega Darkrai ex, a card with an attack called Night Raid that deals moderate damage and doubles if a Benched Pokémon has damage counters. Mega Darkrai ex also has an ability called Abyss Eye, which can knock out an opposing Active Pokémon instantly if it's affected by a Special Condition. The set will also include other Dark-type cards, such as Dark Bell and Malamar. The release follows the pattern of staggered regional launches, with Japan receiving new expansions first and Western versions following with slight adjustments.
