Pradhan prods IIT experts to assist CBSE tide over glitches

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan ordered the deployment of technical experts from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur to assist the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The move follows widespread concerns from students and parents about technical glitches on the CBSE post-examination services portal, particularly after the announcement of re-evaluation services for this year. The IIT teams will focus on stabilizing the portal and improving server performance, ensuring robust IT infrastructure. Their tasks include examining login authentication systems, user access protocols, and digital payment gateways to eliminate errors and disruptions. Pradhan emphasized that student interests must be prioritized, urging CBSE to implement corrective measures urgently. The experts will conduct a thorough review of CBSE’s IT systems to identify vulnerabilities and enhance transparency in the re-evaluation process. The goal is to create a seamless, efficient, and student-friendly experience during this critical phase. Pradhan’s directive underscores the government’s commitment to resolving technical challenges affecting students nationwide.
