Prince William attended Eton between 1995 and 2000, where he excelled academically and athletically, earning 12 GCSEs and three A-Levels, including an A in Geography. He later credited the experience for shaping his independence, often visiting Windsor Castle on Sundays to see his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. In contrast, Prince Harry, who attended Eton from 1998 to 2003, described the boarding school as a 'profound shock' in his memoir *Spare*, admitting he struggled to adapt and nearly dropped out without sports like rugby and polo. Harry revealed in a *TIME* interview that sports were his lifeline, keeping him engaged despite disliking classroom work. He also noted that William advised him to distance himself socially to protect his own experience. A former classmate of Harry’s told *The Cut* that William was more integrated at Eton, while Harry faced greater challenges settling in.
