Progress: New MHA Nation greenhouse growing fresh produce

The MHA Nation's Native Green Grow Greenhouse near Parshall, North Dakota, is producing fresh produce. The greenhouse is using sustainable methods, redirecting flared gas from the tribe's oil wells and capturing rainwater to power its operations. The produce is being purchased by tribal programs and local businesses, and is also available at the NG2 Retail Store. The greenhouse is part of a larger project with four planned phases, which will eventually cover over 400,000 square feet. The project aims to provide full-time employment to MHA Nation tribal members and promote Indigenous food sovereignty. The greenhouse is expected to be one of the largest in the world when completed.
