Pudu Robotics and Robobee Forge Strategic Partnership with Denner

Pudu Robotics, a leader in commercial service robotics, and its authorized distributor Robobee, have formed a strategic partnership with Denner, a major Swiss discount supermarket chain under the Migros Group. The collaboration involves deploying 200 PUDU CC1 4-in-1 cleaning robots across Denner’s stores, marking a significant advancement in retail automation in Europe. The project, launched in Fall 2025, follows a pilot program in four stores that demonstrated the robots’ effectiveness in maintaining hygiene and reducing cleaning workloads. Denner’s decision to adopt the PUDU CC1 was driven by the expansion of its fresh produce offerings, which increased daily cleaning demands. The robots’ compact yet visible design ensures they operate safely during peak shopping hours while delivering consistent floor maintenance. CEO Torsten Friedrich highlighted the initiative as part of Denner’s broader modernization agenda, aimed at improving efficiency and customer experience. Felix Zhang, Founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics, emphasized the robots’ role in addressing operational challenges, particularly in upholding hygiene standards amid growing fresh produce selections. The deployment, scaling from an initial pilot to 200 robots, validates the technology’s operational value, according to Zhang. Dario Himmelsbach, CEO of Robobee, noted that the project’s success stems from a tailored approach, ensuring the robots integrate seamlessly into Denner’s retail environment. Christian Staub, Head of Sales at Denner, stressed that the robots are designed to assist staff rather than replace them, freeing employees to focus on customer service and product maintenance. Nihad Zoronjic, a Denner manager, praised the PUDU CC1’s advanced engineering and premium design, which aligns with Denner’s innovative brand image. The autonomous robots enable simultaneous scaling of cleaning frequency and quality, addressing key operational needs in the supermarket sector.
