Pudu Robotics and Robobee Forge Strategic Partnership with Denner for Major Robotic Cleaning Deployment Across Swiss Stores

Pudu Robotics, a global leader in commercial service robotics, and its authorized regional distributor Robobee, have partnered with Denner, a leading Swiss discount supermarket chain under Migros Group, to deploy 200 PUDU CC1 robots across its stores. The deployment, beginning in Fall 2025, marks a major step in retail automation in Europe and supports Denner’s modernization program, which focuses on improving operational efficiency and customer experience. The PUDU CC1 robots, 4-in-1 cleaning units, were selected to address increased cleaning demands from expanded fresh produce offerings while maintaining high hygiene standards. A pilot program in four Denner stores a year ago demonstrated the robots’ effectiveness, leading to the full-scale rollout. The compact, visible design ensures safe operation during shopping hours. Denner emphasized that the robots are intended to assist staff, not replace them, allowing employees to focus on high-value tasks like customer service. Christian Staub, Head of Sales at Denner, stated that hygiene remains a top priority, and the robots help achieve consistent cleaning standards. The partnership highlights Denner’s commitment to innovation, with CEO Torsten Friedrich driving the modernization agenda. Robobee’s CEO, Dario Himmelsbach, noted that the project’s success stems from a tailored approach, ensuring the robots integrate seamlessly into Denner’s operations. Nihad Zoronjic, a Denner manager, praised the PUDU CC1’s advanced engineering and design, which align with Denner’s brand image. The deployment reflects a broader trend in retail automation, where robotics enhance efficiency while supporting workforce productivity.
