Rivier University offers transfer pathways, support for Anna Maria College students

Rivier University in Nashua, New Hampshire, is providing a dedicated transfer pathway for Anna Maria College students following the college’s announcement to cease academic operations by the end of the spring 2026 semester. Students currently in good standing at Anna Maria College are guaranteed admission to Rivier, with personalized transfer credit evaluations to ensure minimal disruption. Undergraduate students can transfer up to 90 credits toward a 120-credit bachelor’s degree, while graduate students can transfer up to 75% of required coursework. To ease the transition, Rivier is offering a one-time $3,000 transition grant for students enrolling in fall 2026, in addition to transfer merit scholarships of up to $19,000. The university is also waiving application fees and eliminating standardized test score requirements for all majors, including nursing. Students receive on-the-spot admission decisions and individualized guidance throughout the enrollment process. Sister Paula Marie Buley, Rivier’s president, emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting students through this unexpected transition. ‘We understand the challenges students and families face and are prepared to help them continue their education without losing momentum,’ she said. The university’s admissions, financial aid, academic advising, and career services teams are available to assist with credit evaluations, academic planning, and career development. Rivier’s academic programs align closely with Anna Maria’s offerings, including degrees in Artificial Intelligence, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity Management, Education, Finance, Health Science, Nursing, and Psychology. The university also provides accelerated three-year bachelor’s degrees in select fields and 3+1 pathways for earning a master’s degree in one additional year. Graduate programs include Applied Artificial Intelligence, MBA options, and counseling degrees in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. Beyond academics, Rivier offers a vibrant campus community with modern facilities, including a Science and Innovation Center, nursing simulation labs, and advanced business and security studies facilities. The university sponsors 13 NCAA Division III varsity sports and guarantees housing for students. Additional support includes Rivier’s Employment Promise Program, which connects graduates with career opportunities.
