Safe Pro Awarded U.S. Army Order For AI-Powered Threat Analysis Kit Together with Red Cat Black Widow Drones

Safe Pro Group Inc. has secured a U.S. Army contract for its Threat Analysis Kit, integrating AI-powered edge processing with Red Cat Black Widow drones. The order, awarded through a Defense Prime Contractor, includes annual software upgrades and operational field support, with completion targeted for the second quarter of 2026. The kit leverages Safe Pro’s NODE system, which processes drone-captured video using AI algorithms trained on over 2.8 million images. These algorithms detect more than 150 types of explosive threats, such as landmines and cluster munitions, generating 2D and 3D battlefield maps without requiring connectivity. The technology was developed using real-world data from over 35,000 acres in Ukraine, where it identified 50,368 confirmed detections. Safe Pro’s SPOTD (Safe Pro Object Threat Detection) technology converts raw drone footage into actionable intelligence, including orthomosaics and terrain models. The system operates independently, enabling rapid situational awareness in high-risk environments. This marks the first turnkey AI-powered battlefield intelligence solution delivered to the U.S. Army under the contract. The contract also covers AI model updates, training, and operational support to ensure the system remains effective in evolving combat scenarios. Safe Pro’s solution aims to enhance battlefield decision-making by transforming drone data into shareable, high-resolution threat maps for military personnel.
