Safe Pro Executes on $742,000 U.S. Army Award Rapidly Delivering AI Edge Processing NODE and Red Cat Black Widow Drones

Safe Pro Group Inc. has fulfilled a $743,000 U.S. Army contract for its AI-enabled Threat Analysis Kit, combining the company’s NODE edge compute system with Red Cat Holdings’ Black Widow drones. The deployment includes annual AI model upgrades and field support, with U.S. Army personnel training set to conclude by late June. Operations will continue through Q3 2026, including participation in scheduled military exercises. The NODE system leverages Safe Pro’s patented SPOTD technology to process drone-captured video, detecting over 150 types of threats such as landmines, cluster munitions, and UXO in real time. It generates 2D and 3D battlefield maps—including orthomosaics, terrain data, and threat overlays—without requiring cloud connectivity. The AI is trained on a dataset of 2.8 million drone images and 50,368 confirmed detections from over 35,000 acres in Ukraine. Safe Pro’s solution was recently selected under a Defense Prime subcontract to provide a turnkey battlefield intelligence capability for the U.S. Army. The company will also deliver AI software upgrades, training, and operational support throughout the contract period. The system’s edge-based processing enables rapid deployment in high-risk environments, enhancing situational awareness for troops. The Threat Analysis Kit marks Safe Pro’s expansion into large-scale military applications, building on its expertise in AI-driven threat detection.
