Samsung likely to debut Galaxy S27 Pro alongside Ultra: What to expect

Samsung is expected to introduce a fourth model, the Galaxy S27 Pro, alongside the Galaxy S27, S27 Plus, and S27 Ultra in early 2027, according to a report by South Korean publication ETNews. The new Pro variant would feature a 6.47-inch OLED display, a size not currently offered in the Galaxy S26 series, and may share high-end specifications with the Ultra model while omitting stylus support. The Galaxy S27 Pro would likely sit between the standard and Ultra models, with a display larger than the base S27 but smaller than the Ultra. Samsung may need to adjust the positioning of the standard and Plus models to maintain clear distinctions, as the current lineup sees minimal upgrades for those variants compared to the Ultra. The report suggests Samsung’s expanded lineup could directly compete with Apple’s iPhone strategy. Apple dropped its Plus model in 2025 and introduced the iPhone Air, while its 2027 lineup may include the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, a standard iPhone 18, an iPhone 18e, and a second-generation Air. Samsung’s full Galaxy S27 lineup would then face off against Apple’s Pro models, launched earlier, as well as its base models arriving around the same time.
