South Carolina women's basketball star headlines FIBA 3x3 World Cup roster

Four U.S. college basketball stars will represent Team USA at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s World Cup in Warsaw, Poland, from June 1-7. MiLaysia Fulwiley and Joyce Edwards, both former South Carolina teammates, were named to the roster alongside LSU’s Mikaylah Williams and Oklahoma’s Sahara Williams. The team was selected by Elena Delle Donne, managing director of Team USA’s 3x3 women’s basketball program, and will be coached by Christina Batastini, with Julia Ford assisting. Fulwiley, a junior at LSU, set career highs last season with 14.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while playing under Kim Mulkey. She previously earned SEC Sixth Player of the Year honors twice and was an All-Region NCAA Tournament selection. Edwards, a consensus All-American from South Carolina, averaged 19.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this season, helping the Gamecocks reach the national title game twice. Mikaylah Williams, a two-time All-SEC First Team selection at LSU, leads the squad with career averages of 15.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. She was named USA Basketball’s 3x3 Athlete of the Year in 2022 and has three FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup gold medals. Sahara Williams, a junior at Oklahoma, averaged 12.4 points and 7.9 rebounds last season and advanced to the Sweet 16 with the Sooners. The team has strong 3x3 experience: Edwards and Fulwiley won the 2025 FIBA 3x3 Nations League Americas title, while Sahara Williams played alongside Mikaylah Williams on two U18 gold-medal teams. Team USA will open the tournament on June 2 against Hungary, followed by a match against Australia later that day. All games will be streamed on YouTube. Out of the nine previous 3x3 World Cups, Team USA has won three gold medals and one bronze. The squad’s blend of NCAA success and international 3x3 achievements positions them as strong contenders in Poland.
