Temus ramps up AI hiring, launches Foundry to support national impact in health and finance

Temus announced the launch of its AI Foundry in Singapore on May 20, 2026, supported by Digital Industry Singapore (DISG). The initiative will hire and deploy 50 Singapore-based AI professionals to develop AI accelerators, governance frameworks, and delivery capabilities for enterprise projects in financial services and precision health. This aligns with Singapore’s Economic Strategy Review (ESR), published May 13, 2026, which emphasizes AI-driven business and societal outcomes. The Foundry will expand partnerships with AI Singapore to create joint prototypes, multilingual models, and reusable delivery frameworks for enterprise AI deployments. Initial use cases include an agentic AI copilot for a leading investment company, a secure AI knowledge assistant for a financial institution, and an AI-powered lead management system for a regional telecommunications provider. These projects reflect Temus’ focus on operationalizing AI at production grade, supporting Singapore’s National AI Impact Programme (NAIIP). Sng Ren Yeong, CEO of Temus, stated that Singapore’s AI opportunity is shifting from experimentation to execution. The AI Foundry will strengthen data, governance, and operating foundations to enable enterprises to scale AI-driven transformations confidently. Philbert Gomez, Senior Vice President of Digital Industry Singapore, welcomed the initiative, noting it will help key companies in Singapore undertake AI-enabled core transformations while offering Singaporeans hands-on experience in sectors like financial services and precision health. The ESR also highlighted AI literacy and workforce transformation as critical priorities. Temus’ Foundry aims to address these by building a skilled local talent pool and codifying proven AI delivery methods. The initiative reinforces Singapore’s position as a global AI hub, with a focus on technology and service providers driving real-world impact. Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) are key partners in this effort, ensuring alignment with national AI strategies. The Foundry’s work will contribute to Singapore’s broader goal of fostering AI adoption across industries while creating measurable business and societal benefits.
