The next two weeks absolutely stacked with Canadian gaming events

Toronto Games Week (TGW) returns June 11-17 as part of Toronto’s annual Video Game Month, offering over 50 free events across the city. Co-organized by indie developers Jim Munroe and Marie LeBlanc Flanagan, the week includes game showcases, workshops, trivia nights, and outdoor events. Key highlights include *Giant Video Games & TGW Kickoff* at Canada Malting Silos, featuring playable games and projections, and *The Beautiful Game*, an interactive soccer video game exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum priced at $26. A free exhibit titled *Art of the Concept* at George Brown College’s North Gallery showcases artwork from local indie developers like Hilltop Studios and Bancy Co. The event also hosts *The G.R.I.D.*, a space for game developers to playtest and receive feedback, and *Kitten Cup Studio Tea Party*, a demo showcase by Toronto indie developer Kitten Cup. Ticketed events include a live video game orchestra concert at Hugh’s Room Live, priced at $35, and a closing party at Demo Room with drinks and networking for $15-$25. TGW will also feature *DEI or DIE V2*, a showcase of games from queer and marginalized developers, and *NextGen Showcase*, a curated presentation of Toronto-made games. The week concludes with *IGDA Trivia Night*, hosted by comedienne Franci Dimitrovska, celebrating the history of game development.
