UCLA women’s basketball head coach Cori Close has signed a contract extension through the 2029-30 season, announced by the university on May 12, 2026. Close, who has coached the Bruins since 2011, now holds a 358-144 record and has guided the team to 10 NCAA Tournament appearances, including back-to-back Final Fours in 2025 and 2026. The Bruins’ championship season extended beyond the court, as five players from the winning roster were selected in the first round of the 2026 WNBA draft, setting a school record for most first-round picks in a single draft.
