UFO files: See pictures the Pentagon released

The Pentagon published a new batch of UAP files and images on its official website on Friday, marking the latest release of documents related to unidentified anomalous phenomena. The disclosure follows a February 2026 order from President Donald Trump instructing government agencies to release records on UAPs, extraterrestrial life, and related topics. The files include old State Department cables, FBI documents, and NASA transcripts from crewed spaceflights, with more set to be released at War.gov/ufo. Among the released materials are eight UAP images submitted by the FBI in late 2025, though details on their origin remain undisclosed. NASA’s Apollo 12 mission from 1969 contributed five photos showing unidentified objects over the lunar horizon, while an Apollo 17 image from 1972—previously published—was reanalyzed, suggesting the three dots in a triangular formation may represent a physical object. A 2023 composite photo of a bronze metallic object linked to a bright light was also included, based on eyewitness accounts from that year. The Pentagon’s release also features video files, including a 2013 infrared recording from the U.S. Central Command showing an eight-pointed star-like contrast, along with other footage of UAPs over the ocean and sky. Experts warn that UAP videos are often misinterpreted, and a 2024 Pentagon report dismissed claims of recovered alien technology or confirmed extraterrestrial life.
