VietJet to launch direct flights between Singapore and Nha Trang in Vietnam

Vietnamese budget airline VietJet announced it will begin direct flights between Singapore and Nha Trang, Vietnam, on December 11. The route will operate four times weekly—Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—starting December 11, offering travelers a more convenient option to Vietnam’s coastal city known for its beaches and marine ecosystem. The announcement was made at the Vietnam-Singapore Tech Connect Forum 2026 on May 29, attended by Vietnam’s President To Lam and senior leaders from both countries. This will be VietJet’s fifth direct route linking Singapore to Vietnam, joining existing flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc, with over 100 weekly flights already operating. Dinh Viet Phuong, VietJet’s first vice-chairman, stated that direct connections between Vietnam’s high-potential destinations and Singapore—Asia’s leading economic hub—will foster tourism, commerce, and investment growth. Currently, budget carrier Scoot is the only airline offering direct flights between Singapore and Nha Trang. Since launching direct Singapore-Vietnam flights in 2014, VietJet has transported over 3.8 million passengers across more than 22,000 flights. The new route aims to reduce travel complexity for visitors by eliminating the need for domestic transfers within Vietnam, enhancing access to the country’s south-central coast.
