Vijay's first statement post TVK win in Tamil Nadu, thanks PM Narendra Modi: 'Well-being of our people remains our only goal'

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by superstar Vijay, secured a massive victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, winning 108 out of 234 seats. This is the first time a government will be formed outside the DMK and AIADMK in the state. Vijay won both Perambur and Trichy East constituencies. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated TVK on their performance, Vijay responded, stating that the well-being of the people remains their only goal and that they will focus on the State's progress. Vijay is set to be sworn in as the next Chief Minister on May 7. The swearing-in ceremony is likely to take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.
