Wizz Air Launches Only Direct Flights Between the UK and Armenia

Wizz Air has introduced the UK’s only direct flights between London Luton Airport (LLA) and Yerevan (EVN), Armenia, marking the airline’s first route to the country. The inaugural flight departed on the previous day, offering British travelers direct access to Armenia, a destination known for its ancient history and vibrant culture. This launch aligns with Wizz Air’s 'Let’s Get Lost' campaign, which previously sent participants on a surprise trip to Yerevan, showcasing its blend of pink stone architecture, café culture, and mountain landscapes. The new route operates twice weekly—Mondays and Fridays—throughout the year, with fares starting at £45.99 one way. Wizz Air UK’s Managing Director, Yvonne Moynihan, highlighted the airline’s mission to make travel accessible while encouraging exploration beyond conventional destinations. She noted Armenia’s appeal as a unique, affordable, and culturally rich alternative for travelers seeking something different. London Luton Airport’s Chief Executive Officer, Alberto Martin, welcomed the new service, calling it a significant addition to the airport’s diverse route network. The direct link reinforces the airport’s partnership with Wizz Air and aims to provide greater travel options for passengers. Tickets for the LLA-Yerevan route are now available on wizzair.com and the Wizz mobile app. Passengers can also add Wizz Flex for travel flexibility. The route expands connectivity between the UK and the South Caucasus region, offering an alternative to traditional holiday spots.
